Saturday, in Eminescu Park, we had a memorable experience thanks to the new route introduced in the Treasure Galati app, entitled “The Ghosts of the Danube”. Mystery and local history enthusiasts gathered at 10 a.m. to let themselves be captivated by the tragic story of Viviana, a high society lady who disappeared under mysterious circumstances.
The mystery begins with Viviana’s last appearance in Eminescu Park, in the company of an enigmatic figure named Luciferiana. Although it is known that Luciferiana left the country after Viviana’s disappearance, there was no conclusive evidence of the lady’s fate or the famous amethyst she always wore on her neck.
In this interactive experience, participants were given the role of private detectives, hired by Viviana’s nephew to uncover the truth. Every clue we found in the park brought us closer to solving the mystery. Rumors of obscure practices and superstitions have floated through the air, but thanks to collective efforts, we have been able to uncover the truth hidden behind the story.
The Treasure Galati app is a production of the OpenHub brand. It provided a fluid and intuitive experience, guiding us through the route and giving us crucial clues. Also, special thanks are due to the Mila 80 Association for their contribution and, of course, the City Hall of Galați, which provided financial support for this project.
As we moved away from Eminescu Park, with the mystery solved and a new story to tell, it became clear that “The Ghosts of the Danube” is more than a route in an app – it is an invitation to discover the local history and the mysteries that are still waiting to be uncovered.
