On November 22, 2024, at the Night of the Elves event, the official launch of this year’s edition of Leru.ro – The Online Store of Good Deeds took place. Organized by the OpenHub Association with the support of Thecon, this annual event, now in its sixth edition, brings together the local community to support noble causes. This year, the initiative is dedicated to the emotional development of children from vulnerable backgrounds.
A Project with a Lasting Impact: Camps for Emotional Development
The 2024 edition of the Leru.ro program supports the “Emotional Communication – Emotional Development Camps for Children” initiative, implemented by Kokoro/Armonie Association. This project aims to help 20 children aged 7 to 11 from disadvantaged backgrounds, offering them the opportunity to participate in specialized camps. These camps are designed to enhance their emotional, mental, and physical well-being through educational and creative activities conducted in a safe and non-violent environment.
The objective is to raise 31,000 RON by the end of January 2025, the necessary funds to organize these camps.
The Night of the Elves: The Start of Good Deeds
The Night of the Elves, held at Thecon headquarters, marked the official launch of Leru.ro 2024. Volunteers and professionals worked together to rebuild and relaunch the platform shop.leru.ro, an online store where the products sold directly contribute to raising funds for this year’s cause.
The event was a marathon of solidarity and creativity, bringing together designers, web developers, artists, and donors. The festive atmosphere was enriched by inspirational stories about the impact of previous Leru.ro editions, filling the room with emotion and hope for everyone present.

- 2023: EMPREYouth Camp – 20 high school students supported, 150,000 RON raised.
- 2022: First edition of EMPREYouth Camp – 15 students supported, 91,106 RON raised.
- 2021: 11 scholarships for students, 66,000 RON raised.
- 2020: Support for 54 children from disadvantaged backgrounds, 37,000 RON raised.
- 2019: Projects for the Galați Community Foundation, 13,500 RON raised.
