On February 7-8, 2025, OpenHub participated in the 10th edition of the Winter Informal Clusters Meeting, held in Piatra Neamț and organized by the ASTRICO NORD-EST Textile Cluster in collaboration with the Romanian Clusters Association (CLUSTERO). The event brought together representatives of clusters from various sectors, academic experts, and entrepreneurs interested in developing cross-sector collaborations.
OpenHub was represented by Vlad Ionuț, President of the association, and Georgiana Mihailovici, Secretary-General of OpenHub, along with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eng. Anisia-Luiza Culea-Florescu (FACIEE, UDJG). Our participation provided an excellent opportunity to share OpenHub’s vision, present ongoing projects, and discuss funding opportunities and collaboration perspectives for SMEs and innovative initiatives.

OpenHub Presentations at Cluster Meet Regions
During the CLUSTERO open session, we had the pleasure of delivering three key presentations:
🔹 Vlad Ionuț, OpenHub President, presented the ongoing projects and the cluster’s vision, emphasizing how OpenHub supports innovation, education, and digitalization in the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
🔹 Georgiana Mihailovici, OpenHub Secretary-General, detailed the opportunities offered by the Friend CCI Eurocluster, a program designed to help SMEs access European funding and develop international partnerships.
🔹 Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eng. Anisia-Luiza Culea-Florescu (FACIEE, UDJG) delivered a case study on collaboration between SMEs and academia, showcasing the benefits of partnerships between universities and the business ecosystem.

The event was a great opportunity for knowledge exchange, strengthening relationships among cluster members, and identifying new collaboration opportunities. Additionally, we participated in discussions on cluster funding through Regional Programs, in the presence of representatives from involved Regional Development Agencies (ADR).
We deeply appreciate the invitation from the organizers and their efforts in hosting such a valuable event. We look forward to attending the next Cluster Meet Regions edition to continue fostering collaboration between clusters, academia, and the private sector!
