With great joy and enthusiasm, we recently organized the Kick-Off Meeting for the ReGreen VR project, an event that brought together participants both in-person and online. This meeting marked the beginning of an international collaboration aimed at developing environmental education solutions through virtual reality (VR) technology, in partnership with leading organizations from Romania and Norway.
ReGreen VR Objectives: A Shared Vision for a Greener Future
At the opening of the event, Vlad Ionuț, representing Openhub, presented the project’s objectives and detailed Openhub’s role in their implementation. Our goal is to promote environmental education and support the transition to a cleaner, greener environment through VR technology. The project aims to educate communities and encourage concrete actions to protect the environment, and Openhub is proud to play a central role in this endeavor.

Keith Mellingen, representing VRINN, our Norwegian partner, captivated the audience with a presentation on the VR technology that will be used in ReGreen VR. This technology will enable the creation of immersive experiences, allowing users to explore eco-friendly scenarios and sustainable solutions in a realistic virtual environment. Keith emphasized the significance of the partnership between VRINN and Openhub, a collaboration that blends Norwegian expertise in VR with our commitment to environmental education in Romania.
