What is the FRIEND CCI project?
Friend CCI is an EU-funded project that aims to contribute to the resilience of Europe’s creative and cultural industries and to facilitate a digital and environmentally friendly transformation of this geographical area.
FRIEND CCI is a Eurocluster project involving several clusters across Europe, working together to ensure that funding reaches as many companies in the creative and cultural industries as possible.

What CCI means?
CCI is short for “Creative and Cultural Industries” and are those industries that produce and distribute goods or services that are currently recognised as part of a special category that promotes culture. The Creative and Cultural Industries comprise a diverse group of fields such as architecture, libraries, museums, music, video production, graphic design, fashion, festivals, literature, visual arts, etc.
What services do they need?
The main objective of this call is to raise the interest of companies or entities, including education centres, that are interested in providing digitisation, training and consultancy services in the creative or cultural industries. Other services may also be provided if they serve the objective of upskilling and reskilling the workforce, digitising businesses, improving sustainability, increasing resilience and supporting internationalisation. Here are the services that fit the requirements:

- Digital Transition Services: artificial intelligence; augmented reality; Big Data; cloud computing/technologies; cybersecurity; digital platforms; internet of things (IoT); tracking and tracing systems; online marketing; robotics; software design and development; virtual reality
- Services for a green transition: carbon footprint and greenhouse gas emissions; circularity; eco-design; energy reduction; green building; recycling; resource efficiency; circular economy and corporate social responsibility (CSR)
- Services to support internationalisation: target and competitor analysis; due diligence process; promotion abroad; intercultural trainings; market research/analysis; matchmaking services; risk and opportunity analysis; study of legal and economic environment; financial system
What are the conditions for registration?
Companies and entities are not limited by conditions such as turnover or number of employees. Any entity offering the services already mentioned can apply following this call. The conditions to be fulfilled are as follows:
- The applicant must be a legal entity from an EU Member State
- The entity has not filed for bankruptcy nor initiated bankruptcy proceedings
- The entity has no history of fraudulent activities or financial irregularities and illegal practices
- The entity is not in the process of liquidation or in difficulty in accordance with Commission Regulation 651/2014, art. 2.18.
Where can you apply and what is the application deadline?
In order to apply to the project as a service provider, each legal entity must complete the declaration and sign the data processing documents.

What is OpenHub?
OpenHub is a cluster (a group of people and legal entities with a common purpose). Moreover, Openhub is a project that was born out of a passion for IT and all that means applications of communication technology in business. It is, at the same time, a project dedicated to communication and development mainly through interaction and exchange of experience. Pitching competition to fund innovative business ideas in the Galati-Braila area with the aim of supporting the initiative and enthusiasm of young people in the local community, offering them a framework in which they can receive instant and real feedback for their business ideas.
