On April 12, 2024, at the new openhub headquarters in Galați, located at 8 Prunari Street, members, partners, and supporters of the organization gathered to discuss the future and new directions of openhub. The meeting was a crucial opportunity to share ideas, propose new projects, and strengthen the foundation of the organization.
Meeting Agenda
The day began with a Meet & Greet that allowed participants to get to know each other better and exchange views in a relaxed atmosphere. This was followed by a session for nominations and elections for the new Board of Directors, a pivotal moment as the previous terms had concluded after two years of achievements and challenges.
The agenda also included presentations of ongoing projects, highlighting the organization’s current needs, and a session dedicated to exploring new opportunities and partnerships. A special focus was placed on collaborating with institutions in Ukraine and applying for a grant from Innovation Norway, which focuses on digitalization and eco-friendly initiatives.
Crucial Decisions and New Directions
The election moment was one of the most anticipated. Vlad Ionuț was unanimously re-elected as president, while the competition for the vice-president position was tighter, with Vlad Mototolea winning. Geraldine Ghinet was also unanimously elected as treasurer, underscoring our trust in her financial capabilities. Georgiana Mihailovici was elected Secretary and voting rights were designated to Pana Bogdan, George Huidumac, and Munteanu Bogdan.
An important topic discussed was the update of the Openhub Association’s statutes, with three naming proposals registered under the OSIM brand, reflecting the evolution and ambitions of the organization.
